Ignore the above as this is an easy task.

1. Open door and unclip metal loop from front on gasket - it has a spring on it so can stretch off.
2. Unscrew front of machine (2 screws bottom, 1 at top under powder tray)
3. Inner metal spring can now be removed.
4. Familiarise yourself with the existing gasket fit, on removal.
5. Attach new gasket.
6. Stretch spring clip into grooves.
7. Screw front of machine back on.
8. Attach gasket to outer edge on door.
9. Replace metal clip which requires strength to stretch.
10.Jackpot, machine back in business!!

Good luck

Remove top. Pull on seal with pliers, from top to loosen, spring will come away. At front locate steel circle clip and pull away with pliers.
Replacing seal I found very tricky so here is the way I did it.
Locate new seal, folded in on itself, onto drum. Suspend spring with strong string from top of machine, use a piece of wood across to act as bar. Make four notched tools about 12in long each 1/2in to 1in diameter.
Remove back panel and lay machine on its back. This allows greater access to the seal position. Four hands, two persons for this job, can now locate spring using notched tools to spread the spring at 90 angles, and push down until it clicks into the groove on the drum part groove of the seal. When in place cut the string and remove. Right way up and replace front spring, which is a lot easier than the back one. Have Fun

wont be glued, there should be a retaining clip sitting beneath the rubber. The clip is either spring tensioned. wire twisted or a plastic crocodile type fitting.
