Mend Scantronic 9800 System Error Message

How can I silence my scantronic 9800 alarm!?

Help I have a scantronic 9800 alarm system which has started to randomly go off. The error message on the screen says C6 which is the fire alarm part of the system -anyone one have any ideas, could the battery need replacing? I am trying to study for some exams and this is driving me insane!

Hello Neil, Sounds like you need a new smoke detector or whichever is on zone 6? perhaps you could try using a vacuum cleaner nozzel on it to remove any dust?
