How much to change a head gasket on a 1.2 Corsa 02 plate?

Ive just been charged 380pounds for a compression test, new head gasket,skimmed, a new cam belt, new water tank and a new set of oil.....luckily the head wasnt cracked otherwise i was looking at 1000+

I got quoted at a garage over £400 on my old 93 plate corsa 1.2 so answer- alot!!!
Weigh up weather it's worth it or see if anyone friends/family knows a machanic... Might be cheaper to get a whole new engine... google 'brakers' and find out engine prices.

if you get it done at the main dealer and the head hasnt warped then i wouldnt expect much change from £350, if done in a small garage, then you would be looking at roughly half the cost, can be done for much less if you do it yourself and dont mind getting your hands dirty
