Mend Vauxhall Corsa Sxi 16 Valve Battery Light Staying

battery light staying on?

the battery light has just come on in my vauxhall corsa and it wont go off, with this the steering wheel is heavy nearly impossible to turn, the fuel gauge wont register and the orange light to the rear heated windscreen wont light up can anyone help this confused female thanks

Hi Lorraine, it sounds like your fan belt has failed it affects the alternator (battery light on) and the power steering pump (heavy steering) find your nearest halfords or similar store and they will fit a new one quite cheaply unless you fancy trying it yourself? or know someone who will fit it for you
