Mend Gainsborough Style 400 Shower Heater Fault

Gainsborough stlye 400 x shower?

The flow in my shower has reduced slightly and the water is flowing hot then cold alternately. The heater is making a boiling sound when the water is hot. Any suggestions please to remedy the fault (other than get it replaced!)
