Mend Renault Megane 1.6RT Alize Temp Temperature Gauge

Megane Alize Outside Temp. - Change From Fahrenheit to Centigrade?

My 1998 Megane 1.6RT 'Alize' outside temperature gauge reads in Fahrenheit. Does anybody know if it can be re-set - by the owner, to show the more familiar Centigrade system (where freezing is 0).

Renault Renault Megane 1.6RT Alize Vehicles, Cars Temp Temperature Gauge

As far as I know, this is a dealer job - they can reconfigure this and other things like the central locking. Thats what I had to do after a battery failure.
