Citroen c3 .. how do i chande the headlight bulb?

pas normal que pour changer une ampoule il faut aller au garage,c'est la premiere fois que je prend citroen,mais c'est aussi la derniére fois(vive la france)

3 cheers for the inter net after struggling for 20 mins had a look on here .seen you need a mirror .tried again with mirror job done two mins.

I've just done this myself on the driver's side. A mirror is essential I think (As with Brian, a quick raid for a small mirror from the Girl's make up supplies is in order). It was almost impossible to push the little wire clips off as well. I think Halfords were charging £5 to fit it for me and considering how awkward and stressful it was, I kind of wish I'd have paid! Stupid design.

I hope I get rid of the car before it goes on the off side - definitely worth the £5 at Halfords if this goes!

As you will all be aware, if you have tried to change the bulb on the nearside, there is no room to get fingers in. I made atool to release the spring clips that hold the bulb in place. I bent a medium size flat head screwdriver at an angle of approx. 35 degrees and cut a groove in the blade. Using a mirror you can then locate the groove on the screwdiver over the spring and push down and release the spring from the clip.
A bit tricky but if you can pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time you will be able to do it.

How did you get the fusebox cover off??

My windscreen washer motor has stopped working and I want to check the fuse, but try as I might it won't budge!!!

Any tips greatly appreciated!

Marcus , there is a wire spring clip securing the bulb in place. Use a mirror to have a look at it. Each side of it goes into a slot in the main body of the lamp. push the little curled end down slightly and ease it out of the slot. Same for the second one. It then hinges over the end of the bulb. You might be better able to see the one on the drivers side.

It has a bracket that you need to undo. This is hinged at the bottom and holds the light in place either side of the plug. This is fixed in place by hooking two ends over a 'Y' shaped hook (one on each point of the top of the Y). To release it, push the tops of the brackets towards the light then out to the sides. The bracket should then swing open. If you can't see it, use a hand mirror and it'll make more sense. It's pretty tight for your hand on the nearside but keep trying!
