Mend Singer 6217 Sewing Machine Foot Pedal

busted foot pedal?

My foot pedal came apart and I m not certain what part is missing for it to work when its back in one piece?

I can press and hold the copper connector on the left manually and I get power but I need an extra hand ; )

It's a Singer merritt 6217

Hello Joce,
All that should be in the middle of the control is a spring, the connector for the control is part of the top plastic piece, get yourself a new control, it does not have to be a Singer control, all makes are interchangable, YDK is favorite, they don't cost that much, saves a lot of problems.
