i get din unlock on a minidisc and i dont know what to do?

i got given a minidsc player and i tried to record something and it comes up and say din unlock can some one tell me what to do please

Yes, it just happened to me. Make sure if you are doing an analogue recording that the switch on your MD player is switched to analogue and not digital or coaxial.

You probably have it set to fiber optic in but do not have a fiber optic source to the proper input or it is not sending yet. Are you try-ing to record an analog source like a microphone or mixing board. or are you trying to record a cd or other digital source using digital connections?
