creda excel consenser tumble dryer heater fault?

My Creda excel condenser dryer does not produce any heat to dry the load. Everything else seems to be in working order. Could it be a blown fuse?

Try pressing the reset button (which can be found behind the rear panel) I had the same problem and thats all it took. Good Luck

Firstly remove the appliance from the mains unplug!! Remove the back. Inspect the element for any burned or broken element springs these are very delicate. if the element looks ok and all the fillaments are intact then suspect the thermostat. Some models have the thermostat sitting ontop the element itself others have the thermostats screwed into the sloped housing above the element. If the element is ok no breaks then replace the thermostats make sure you replace them in pairs. and note what thermostat came from where. This fault is generally caused when there is a build up of fluff in the drier itself and can overheat or even catch fire make sure that the inside of the drier is cleaned from any fluff build up. Another cause is the drier being stopped in mid cycle you have hot air inside the drier and as soon as it is stopped a rush of cold air into the drier usually will burn out a thermostat and they always fail in the case of the drier not heating not the other way around. Hope this helps!
