Mend Triton Ivory 2 Keeps Blowing Main

my triton ivory 2 keeps blowing the main shower fuse!?

3 years ago we replaced our bathroom suite and replaced the shower like for like but just recently the fuse has started to blow every 3/4 weeks, whats wrong? the only thing i can think of is the shower switch went bang and ever since its been replaced the fuse keeps blowing. the shower is a 8.5kw triton ivory 2.

a simple rule of thumb is this:
wattage (watts) divided by voltage = minimum fuse rating:

8500 / 240 = 35.5

8.5kw / mains voltage = amps used.

ive found out that i should have had a 42 amp fuse for my 8.5 watt shower not a 30 amp thats why it was always blowing a fuse!
