Is it doing it near the plug or near the handle of the Iron?
Either way, you could [unplugged] cut the cord and recess
it or cut the plug and put a new one on it.
Most likely it is a broken wire close to the handle, where
it comes out of the little rubberthingy, cause thats where
it moves the most. You can prolly do it with a screwdriver and a knife or scizzers.
Open up the iron and see where the cord comes in, usually
2 wires are either on screw terminals or connectors from the cord. The strainrelease , that rubberthingy might be part of th
cord, I`d take it out, cut the cord 3 inches shorter and one could use electrical tape or ducttape to jerry rig it.
anyways,, you get the Idea, they might sell a new cord at the dealer. You might buy a new Iron for 9.95 at.....
