how can i fix my sensory science sr674 dvd recorder?

My Sensory Science SR674 DVD Recorder plays comercial DVDs fine, but after a few months it began to have problems reading and accepting the recorded DVDs. I can get it to load a blank DVD, but if there has been anything recorded on it it will not load. It just grinds away and never reads it.
