Mend Zanussi TC 7102 Tumble Dryer Drying

My Zanussi Tumble Dryer TC 7102 is not drying?

My Zanussi TC7102 model has stopped drying. All functions working apart from it's not heating. I've cleaned all filters and the condenser but this has made no difference. I suspect the heating unit has failed but am concerned it may be a switch. How do I diognose the fault?

if you put your head inside drum and look up at front you will see a thermostat in a housing.remove said thermostat and check contacts (normally closed)
