my car won,t start?

I have this same light flashing in my "P" reg Megane but don't have batteries in the key?
2 Weeks ago it wouldn't start in the morning, a friend connected up another battery and it started fine, been fine eversince until this morning exactly the same happend!!
Help - Is my battery dying?

sounds like the immobiliser is not turning off. Try changing the battery in the key.
