My Raven heat combi RSF 100E has an intermittent fault?
My Raven heat combi RSF100E/RSF 84E/RSF 84ET/RSF100ET. has an intermittent fault the hot water facility works on occasions but then later on when you turn on the hot water tap no hot water, other times it will start producing hot water but then it goes cold for a minute or two then hot again, and somtimes it behaves normally . (Water Preasure is 1.6 Bar) can any one help

Thanks for replying to my query with regard to the boiler problem, yes the boiler is 3 years old. I will take your advice and check the divertor valve diaphragm and post my findings. once again thanks for the information.

If your boiler is about 3 years old its probably the divertor valve diaphragm. You can get them for about £10 on ebay. Bit of a pain to change. You need to drain the system down and turn off the cold water supply. You can download a manual from Ravenheats website. You can see if the diaphragm is working or not by taking the cover off the microswitch unit that is spring clipped to the end of the divertor assembly. When you turn on the hot water tap a plunger should move out from the end to operate the microswitch. Good luck!
