I was using my DC04 today when it suddenly cut out.Have checked the filters and fuse and I can't see any obvious blockage.Have also checked the switch and there doesn't seem to be a problem with that either.Left it to cool down for a few hours and it still isn't working.
Can you help?
hi, i have the same problem the power seems to be cutting of in use and mine is the cable but i need help to get into the body of the vaccum to put the flex back in. annie.

Have just got the same problem. The cable appears to be intermittent broken where it enters the body near the switch, if I move the cable near where it enters the body the vac starts to work and then stops working, the problem is, how does one get into the body/switch.

Check you have not got a break in the cable especially near to the switch. My DC04 is 4.5 years old and the cable is a bit brittle near the switch.
