I just bought the tx300 second hand I used it for 20 mins and it ran perfectly I then went to increase the speed of the machine and it now runs intermittently with error code 1 coming up on the control panel how do I fix this problem.

I moved my treadmill from one site to another and now it won't come on at all. I checked the outlets and the button is turned on. Any ideas?

I got one off the dump. It had been tossed because the platten under the belt had fretted away. I replaced it with some 1 inch particle board covered in melamine and it goes like a bewdy. The key had been lost so I just wrapped a cable tie around the microswitch that senses the presence of the key in the slot. If you didnt want to remove the cover just shove a bit of wood in there.

Be sure to check the tracking / belt tension to make sure the belt life is optimised - use the two allen head screws in the rear base plate and check the belt wont slip under load and runs on the guide brackets under the platen evenly.

I was given a sportcraft tx300 and after a year of use it came up with a cose 7. I did a search and found this site. You just don't know how much of a help this was. I love to walk on my treadmill because it helps me feel better by keeping active. The steps worked perfectly. THANKS ALOT!!!!!

We called sportcraft, and after they sent us a new circuit board, and that didn't work, they sent us another different circuit board, and that didn't work, and then we tried what NJM said, and that worked.
(Plug in the treadmill, push the ON/OFF switch to ON and insert the safety key. Now press the MODE and STOP button simultaneously. Without releasing the buttons take out the safety key and insert it again. Now you should hear a beep and the display will come on. Release MODE & STOP & Press the Speed increment (+) button. )

One problem, the motor is too weak for my weight (240lbs). My tiny fiance can probably use it though.

Hi I had the same problem for my TX 2.5. Error code 7 is due to the console getting locked. This is what the Sportcraft tech support asked me to do. Plug in the treadmill, push the ON/OFF switch to ON and insert the safety key. Now press the MODE and STOP button simultaneously. Without releasing the buttons take out the safety key and insert it again. Now you should hear a beep and the display will come on. Release MODE & STOP & Press the Speed increment (+) button. Hello, I had the same problem. I called Sportcraft and they had me do this: Plug it in, make sure the safety key was in all the way, turn it on, hold "mode" and the "on/off" button at the same time and keep holding it, pull the safety key out, hit the up button, release the "mode" and "on/off" buttons, and hit the up button again. It should unlock. It worked the first time for me! If it doesn't work, here's the phone number for Sportcraft 1-800-526-0244.
