I had a similar problem. Once you have put the belt round the brush roller and fed it back through the hole you are nearly there! I used a wooden kitchen spatula about 30cm long. Push the thin end (handle) of the spatula into the belt loop which you want to place over the motor spindle. Push back towards the motor spindle and rotate the spatula through 90 degrees. Ease the belt towards the spindle (to the left) and try to loop it over. You might need to try this a couple of times but it will work. If all else fails - get a 'man' to do it!
