No Drain, Rinse or Spin?

There are no unusual noises coming from the machine. It doesn't go into spin mode at all, even when I move the switch manually. Is this an expensive repair?

my gess is yes! but it may not? have you looked at the fuse?
has it been switch off at the wall? or have the mains trip poped out? if all this is ok, try to give us more info on whats hapend, and what you have tryed,

you need to drain the washer first, put the waste pipe into a bucket to get rid of the water if it does not drain you have a blockage somwhere then clean the pump out
