how can I fix my Hotpoint Aqua...ctdoo?

it may not be the element
most likely the stats attached to the element
the one shot will operated
look at the element assemble the will be 2 round shiney stat things at the to of it
both should look the same
if the one shot has operated one of the stats (the one shot) will be dished in that needs replacing
if that has gone when you replace it make sure your dryer filter is kept clean of fluff as this can cause the heater to over heat and operate the one shot

It may need a new heating element as this is what produces the warm air needed to enter the drum.
