why does my engine management light keep comming on on my vauxhall omega?

hi could be one of the sensors does it stay on all the time or on and off will need to be pluged in to a obd machine to get the fault code will cost 20-40 pounds at your local garage-if its an old omega may be able to read the codes off the engine management light on the dash board
