Remeha avanta plus code 8 on display?

Hi there, I have a remeha avanta 30s. My hot water works fine but my central heating doesn't work at all. I've topped up the pressure (was way below 1 bar), and it seemed to work, with 0 on the display. But it isn't working ands now shows code 8 (no letter E), but this isn't in the manual...I've tried replacing the batteries in the control panel downstairs, and both panels seem to be working from what I can tell. Anyone out there know how to fix this pretty please?

In my case the ball valve in the F&E tank was stuck and there was not enough water to circulate round the boiler properly

Did you find a solution to this? I'm having the same problem. HW fine, but no heating and no 'Error' code just an '8' in the display. If I switch to HW then it displays 4 and after I switch back to CH it displays 3 (as it should) but then reverts to 8 after a few minutes. No heating!
Any advice would be much appreciated

Extra piece of info...after checking my actual flow temp is 88 degrees degrees, but my p1 (flow temp setting) on the boiler is lower than that at 75 degrees...changed that to 85, the max it can go but still lower than the actual flow temp which it shouldn't be, how can I get the actual flow temp lower? :-(
