How can I find out what is the problem with my Potterton Profile 80E ?

My boiler does not react to my thermostat control box or the room thermostat. The heating will turn back on again and the radiators get very hot. We have fitted a new control box to no avail. The over flow from the header tank also runs when the boiler does turn off eventually, after we have shut everything down at the plug socket.

I am unsure as to what you have replaced. PCB or boiler thermostat?. my first choice would be the boiler thermostat as you can imagine it has the last say in how hot the boiler gets.
