How can I fix my Proform treadmill?

I have Proform 725 ex and would like to know if it can be reset?

DO THIS OUTSIDE. Unplug Treadmill. Loosen the belt and place a 2 X 2 across under each end to raise it off the board. Using mineral spirits and paper towels, moisten a towel with mineral spirits and clean underneath belt and the board surface. Dry with another clean paper towel. Mark the top of belts where cleaned, remove the 2 x 2's and move belt, by hand, to a new position. Replace 2 x 2's and repeat until the entire belt is clean underneath. Inspect the board under the belt. If it is worn through the black surface, obtain 2 boards of PLASTIC floating floor overlayment. You might have to buy a whole box or store may have two loose pieces. Make sure they are PLASTIC and not damaged. If the top has a wood grain embossed on it , turn it over to the smooth back. Cut them about 8 inches shorter than top of belt between rollers. Round off each end of the PLASTIC boards and sand smooth. Snap them together and slide them under the belt about 4 inches from each end, Along each side, and about 3/4 inch from side, install 4 flat head #8 recessed wood screws. Re tighten belt to the proper tension and your treadmill belt movement will be almost like new. Do not apply any lubrication under as it will gum up causing the belt to grab the board under and stall. Mine did this and I repaired it as described above and it is like new.

i have a j64 proform treadmill i was using it then plugged it in to use it again and it wont work when i plug it in the power box thing makes a lil noise then nothing and the belt is moved to the left side please help

i have a proform threadmill that got an electric surge, that stop it from working . I bought a new control board and the regulato board and got it installed. The threadmill will work but at a very high speed. I can't find a way to get the speed regulated, Can someone help or tell me what is going on with this threadmill. It cost me so much money and just can't afford another one: please help

I have a Proform treadmill. It runs great, but when you get on it, the belt stops. We ordered some lubrication for the belt, but it didn't help. What can I do? the treadmill is around six years old. thought it may be the weather because it was kepy in the conservatory, have now brought it inside the house. Thank you

I have a treadmill that runs great but when I step on it to use it, after a few minutes the belt would go sideways, whichever way I am leaning and when you increase the spead, it makes a very loud sound. How can I fix that?

Just dealt with this. Belt would hold still when stepped on. Opened the cover and saw it was the drive belt slipping when under load. Loosened the bolts holding the motor, shifted it back with a pry bar as far as I could, and retightened. Checked my walking belt tension, lubricated, and I was back in business.

FWIW, don't try to fiddle with the drive belt when it's moving, even slowly. It has a tendency to grab and mangle fingers. Maybe you aren't dumb enough to need this advice, but clearly I could have used it about an hour ago.

I have a proform treadmill that was given to me about 4-5 years ago so it is probably about 5-10 years old! It runs for about 10-15 minutes and shuts off completely! I then have to unplug it turn the off/on button a couple of times along with what I call the reset button on the side of the off/on button...after about 4-6 times of doing this it will run for about another 10-15 minutes again and then I just keep repeating the same steps over and over again! Does anyone have any idea what could possible be wrong with and also is it fixable? Please advise!!

I was just given a proform treadmill and it will not work at all. My dad put his power tester to all the parts, and they are all getting power. Everything seems fine but the darn thing will not work for nothing. Is there another way to test this to find out exactly what the problem is? I do not have the money to get it fixed elsewhere or purchase a new treadmill. I would greatly appreciate anybody's help. THank you so much!

I have a proform treadmill which has just had the same problem, but thankfully still just under the warrenty. They diaganosed the problem over the phone. I had to take the cover off and twist the drive belt, if it can be twisted more than one quarter easily then the drive belt (not the running belt) is too loose. They have some room for adjustment but mine was at the furthest setting so they sent someone out to replace it. Apparently some of the older type drive belts tend to stretch. PS on the proform treadmills you don't need lubricant like on other treadmills.

If the belt can be stopped by your foot it is either too old and worn out or the motor is shot. You can replace the belt yourself, call Proform and they can get you the right replacement belt.

You might want to try and tighten the belt yourself. There are two nuts at the end of the T-Mill and with an open end wrench, turn clockwise in half turn increments. Make sure you do BOTH sides equally or the belt will slide over to one sidewhen running.
