How to install a power cord to?

i have a rowenta iron model #dx6900 how do i remove cover to repair the power cord

on the upper part of the cord wrap. is "a star" screw. remove it and the plastic spool and comes off. It reveals a connection strip. On our model it has a clear plastic cover and two "potted" items each with two wires. The AC cord runs down to the rear of the connection strip. The rest should be easy
