Motorola MD4200 Series,?

Anybody know if these have been recalled or had the warranty extended? Just past the warranty, both of my handsets had the light-up displays start to deteriorate (loose lines of pixels) to the point that you can't possibly make out what they say anymore. Then they started heating up a lot when I used them and the batteries (in either) don't last for more than 10-15 minutes at a time when talking. Ordered two new batteries and keeping fingers crossed, but it almost wants me not want to ever trust Motorola again.

When mine does that, I dock it, or I have to remove and replace the battery inside the phone.
