no spark?

Dont know how mechanical you are but its either coil or plug related as the newer mowers dont have points. There is usauly a wire that runs to the coil that earths out the plug to make it stop the engine.Somtimes this can get cut or fraid and earth on the engine causing short out of the coil.
Beware though if its the one fitted with the chinese engine i have heard about quite a few of these burning out the coil and they are quite exspensive to replace making the mower bin fodder.
