ford galaxy 1.9 tdi glx 96 n reg?

will not start in the moring but will start with a tow once been started if not left 4 more than 2 -3 hours will start again and drives how it should, but with key start in the moring or after few hours just turns over and over puffing white smoke out the back lots of smoke i have changed the glow plugs, fuel filter, none return valve on top of filter the stop switch on pump, changed the return pipes in between all the injectors and the return pipe to the pump,,,, please can some one help

diesel megane scenic 1.9 td We got the car with an intermitant fault, it would start with lots of white smoke but run ok when hot! this put us of in the wrong direcion looking at injectors, fuel pump, air filter and fuel filter. we finaly found there was a small leek in the fuel line allowing a small quantity of air into the line. i hope this helps someone.

ok mike thanks 4 your help i will try that in the morning undo one of them then i might get it tow started if there ant hardley any fuel up there and have it running and look all over it while its runningto look 4 leaks i have found one loose pipe one the main return pipe so that is first thing i am doing so that u m8

one way to check is to get someone to try to start it in the morning while you loosen 1 of the injector pipes and see if you have plenty of diesel coming out straight away. and next time you tow start it let it idle and phisically go along all the pipes/connections to make sure there's no leak when systen is pressurised. failing that i'm out of ideas - sorry limited diesel experience

i have tryed to on me own to bled and have had it tow started again it ran ok then ran fine dont know if it has completely bled, some one from fords said there is probly a little hole in pipe some where and the fuel is running back to the tank thats y it not starting and smoking because there is so much air in there every day ?? they said not timing because it runs fine when towed ???? i dont know nuffing bout timing

if it's pumping out loads of white smoke it sounds like either a cylinder head problem or maybe your diesel pump timing is out of whack. this maybe a stupid question but you'd be surprised how many people don't know - i take it you bled the system after carrying out the work.
