Westwood T1200 solenoid wires?

I have a westwood T1200.
Replacing the solenoid but got confused with wiring. I have left over, a double black and a single green. One was originally earthed between base of solenoid and mower frameand one went to the small connection on the solenoid. But for the life of me I cannot recall which is which. Can you help?
