top of stoper ?

I have lost the brass top of my drop in stopper for a sherle wagner sink. Where can I find a replacement?

Almost bought a Sherle Wagner sink. Then I read this question - thank you so much for posting Nan, There's no way I'd knowingly buy a product with such poor support

Hi Nan,

I've read your reply about the part you found in Home Depot not being the right size. My solution is that you buy this anyway plus a selection of different sized nuts and bolts. Use this selection of nuts to find out which one fits the thread size on your stopper rod and which one fits Home Depot knob. You will then know what sizes the two different threads are.
You can use this information to find a "thread adaptor" online which has a female end that matches your rod and a male end that fits the Home Depot stopper.
When you have found the right thead adaptor and had it delivered, it's simply a case of screwing the thread adaptor onto the rod and then the knob on to that.
Whilst you are waiting for the thread adaptor arrive, you can use the nut that fits the rod as a temporary knob, albeit very small!
This fix will only cost a few bucks and hope it is the solution you need.

Sherle wagner will only sell complete set for $450.00.

yes it does but, the screw top that is sold at home depot is to large and does not fit the part that is moved up and down inside the drain.

Hi, I will try and be a bit more helpful, but would appreciate some clarification on your original question as it's not clear what part you have lost. From your description, are you talking about the decorative knob that's attached to the rod that runs up from the back of the tap (faucet - if you're American!) and this rod opens and closes the stopper to the sink? If so, does this rod have a thread that the knob screwed on to?
