Freezer low temp?

The alarm went off on the freezer and compartment temp staying at -5, hotpoint ffa97

There is probably a build up of ice somewhere. Easiest thing to try is to transfer all your food to a friend or neighbours freezer, then switch off the power to your freezer, open doors and let it defrost for 24 hours. Hopefully when you switch it back on, it will function properly. Whilst its empty check the drain hose in back is not blocked.
