Peugeot 206 Automatic gear problem?

For past two weeks my car Peugeot 206 Auto has caused some problem, when starting cold there isn't any problem with Auto Drive, but when the car has been driven for 8 or 10 miles and you come to traffic lights or give way and you stop, from there to move again the Car crawls for for some while before it select gear and start going again, this happen every time once the Car is warm.
Just to add I went through foot deep water couple of time prior to this problem occurring would that have any effect on the gear problem. Since then Auto gear oil has been changed but still above difficulty remains, can anyone assist to eliminate the occurring problem. Thank you.
