Hi I have a sovereign 63/3 ride on mower, just lately the Briggs & Stratton engine has started to "hunt"go loud and then quiet, with a corresponding gain or loss of power. Could it just be the carb needs cleaning?
Clean carb, air filter and also check that the fuel is flowing into the carb from the fuel tank. May be blockage either in a fuel filter or even something in the fuel tank preventing fuel flowing.
