Sears washer 11091521210 washes but wont spin and drain?

Washer fills, wash cycles, but then stops full of water and does not spin and drain. No noise while sitting full of water and clothes after wash cycle. Manually advancing mechanical timer doesn't make it start rinse and drain, either. Was thinking maybe lid switch is broken
