I have a Tavistock & Jones Radio controlled watch which needs attention?

Since the last time change the time did not reset to the correct time. It is stuck in 2008! Can you please tell me where I can get this repaired?

1 Pull the crown out to stop the watch when second hand is exactly at 12
2 Turn crown until the hour and minute hands are at 12 and all aligned.
3 Hold in 2 o'clock button in for at least 5 seconds. This tells the radio that the pointers are synchronised,
4 Press crown back and wait for watch to move to correct time with the radio. this will occur when it is updated by time signal.

NOTE as the watch only moves forwards this procedure should be done as close after 12 o'clock so the pointers don't have far to move.

2 button press once speaks Hrs Mins am/pm
twice .. Day Date Month Year
thrice .. Time signal updated/ not updated

Husband has the talking watch. It's driving us nuts.He has tried everything, following the instructions, to turn the talking off but to no avail. Must admit though that it is keeping time perfectly.
He's going to try to contact them through Easylife but personally I don't think that will do much good. Fit for purpose? Fit for the bin

I bought one of these from easilife and it has never shown the correct time. They advertise it is supposed to be accurate to one second in 138 million years but it is always out a second or two. Easilife help say this is "within tolerance." Their help people were good enough to send me another watch (after I threatened them with police/ombudsman) but the new one is just as bad. If you want the CORRECT time don't bother with this one.

I have a Tavistock & Jones watch with a cracked face and I tried to obtain a replacement and prepared to pay for it. EasyLife customer service is worse than useless.Told me they cannot help with my problem. If I had bought a known brand I am sure that other companies would be more helpful. Will not buy anything from EasyLife in future

I have one of these T&J 6008 watches too and only recently it's 2 seconds slow. Resetting manually still results in the watch being 2 seconds slow.

When you press S1 twice to see if it's picked up the signal, the second hand stops at 2 seconds to 12. trying to reset the hands as indicated in the instruction booklet where it says "Synchronise hands" this doesnt work, the secong hand just spins and the watch just starts from 12 o'clock again.

I've left the watch by a window for 2 days now and it's still at completely the wrong time (wrong hour, wrong minutes) even though it indicates it's recieved the signal.

Anyone know how to correctly reset the hand position please?

Thanks.

Hi,
I think its a Casio brand so if you go here and add the digits from the back of case you should be able to download the manual.
