Got Scottish gas out for £99 plus a service plan at £21a month
Fixed the boiler, it was the thermostat.

just seen british gas have changed there prices from £69 for small repairs to £189 for middle repairs thats where yours should fall

if its the diverter valve u can pick up on easily. if its operating the circuit flow micro switch thens its doing its job. if after the flow switch is activated the fan runs then the flow switch is ok. it may be the pcb. without being there to diagnose its be hard to fault find. but i be careful of your plumber. british gas do a repair scheme for non members a £150 one of fee boiler repair includes all parts and labour. and if they cant fix it they dont charge give them a go its better than paying £250
