Galaxy series 2 alarm?

Hi, I have the galaxy panel that was fitted by ADT in my new home.I have spoken to ADT who claim no rights to this alarm as the previous home owner fullfilled their terms of conditions policy.

ADT would like me to enter into a contract or simply power the system down, but is there a way I could use it myself?,i know my way round electronics (LCD + plasma)tv servicing and repair and consider this galaxy a bit of a challenge.

Now when I powered it up it booted straight to anti code and displayed a four digit code which I assume is installed/activated by the fitter to safeguard ADT's equipment,I've done a little research and now think it can be defeated without the help(contract) from ADT.

I've read that there's a software suite called "wintex" and this programme can be used via USB with this alarm,so i'am wondering and of course asking on here if this "wintex" suite only available from "texcom" will allow me to generate clone the code and disable the anticode program in the programming menu?.

The advice I've had on other forums has Been vague to say the least and I've had the usual response " rip it out!",

So to cut a long story short will this "wintex" software suite allow me to conquer this galaxy 2?,

I thank all who answer and many regards

Come on e, didn't you read this?

Your reply was a bit off in these circumstances.

"This is an open forum mate and I for one won't enter into any discussions on the how's wont's and why's of what is still technically still adt's equipment."

i think its far simpler for u to have a new panel fitted most people go down this line with an old adt system. u dont need to change the bell box or sensors as an engineer will be able to configure them to the panel. so u can still have the adt box outside if u like the logo. its a touchy forom here for alarms mate its. there a bit touchy who answers and what u ask ????????

e manno not being touchy mate, think about what you are asking,if we gave out the info you want then lots o bad guys who read this too can use the info, then we all be in the brown stuff, best rip it out,fit a better panel,me thinks you will end up doing that anyway.

E manno you seem a little touchy regarding my question?,

Would you explain why please?,that's if it's not too much an effort for you, i'am asking what's apparent to me to be" a legitimate question".
