Why is there a loss of power in 2009 Toyota Avensis 2.2 150bhp?

Does anyone know why there would be a loss of power in the Toyota Avensis 2.2 150bhp in 4th and 5th gear only.

There is no kick whatsoever and is actually dangerous passing out cars.

2nd and 3rd gear are fine and you can feel the turbo kicking in but nothing in 4th and 5th.

any feedback would be welcome

it is very difficult to determine your fault and it could be any ammount of things,it may be worth getting it onto a code reader and make sure your filters are ok and up to date,other things to check would be intercooler/air intake leaks
