No sound on a Proline LD2215D flat TV?

I have had the TV for four years, and suddenly it doesn't reproduce any sound, the only way to hear something is with headphones plugged on the tv. I opened it and everything seems to be fine, but I'm not really an electronics expert. Anyone could tell me what I should do to try to fix it? Thank you

I have this exact same TV, and have the exact same problem.

Unplug TV. Lay TV on a table and undo all the screws on the rear cover that have a Arrow next to them.
Now lift off rear cover.
Looking at the large main PCB, in the upper right hand corner you will see 2 small white plugs going into the PCB. These are for the speakers.
This top right hand corner of the main PCB is the Amplifier section.
You will see 2 large green Capacitors standing up, and to the left you will see (two) silver Metal Capacitors marked "50v 220".
I expect you will find the tops of these Metal Capacitors have risen and are now Domed, or even split open.

Pop down your local Maplins, and pick up two "50v 220 micro Farad" audio capacitors, for about 65p each.

Remove the dead ones from the main PCB using a soldering iron, and Solder on the new ones. Making sure you solder them on the right way observing Polarity. The + and - is actually marked on the PCB and you can see these markings once you have taken the old ones off.

Hope this helps !. It fixed mine perfectly.

PS: I also purchased a small "Self Adheisive Heatsink", to attach to the main CPU on the PCB.
Since you will see a silly little piece of Alloy strip stuck to the CPU. Pull this off, and attach a nice Heatsink.
This will stop the TV from Crashing / locking up. Which mine used to do quite frequently.

I have new information. If it is on for a long time the sound suddenly comes back, or if the day is particularly hot, so the problem is related to the temperature in some way. Still, I don't have any clue about how to fix it, I unplugged the speakers from the motherboard and then I plugged then again, but it didn't work
