I have an 03 mustang with a mach 460 sound system. This includes a six disk cd changer. The radio works but the cd tray will not open to insert disk or load. It say cd error and switches back to radio. Is this something simple to fix like a fuse or relay or does the head unit need replaced?
If CD changer and radio are working ,the CD Lifting system probably blocked.Open unit and check where it got stuck.Quite a job,u need good eyes ,watch out for the little springs (5)Inspect driving gear bmo power supply 5V direct to el.motor.Cost you about 1/2 day work with quite some fustration.I succeded !
