You will have to drop the fuel tank to replace the pump unit

if you cannot see a access cover usually held in place with eight phillips screws ,then your models pump will be located in the tank .if yours is the latter then you will have to drain and drop the tank to access the pump.as a precaution replace the pickup screen and the fuel filter as well.
