I have cut through the cable of my hedge trimmer and have shortened the cable. I want to remove the part from the trimmer and reconnect with the longer part. I have opened the trimmer up and removed the damaged cable but unfortunately I didn't note which connection is live and which is neutral. Cabling inside is black for both! There is a green device inside with the cable connecting to ON and NC.
the live wire will usually be on the right and the other one on the left make sure you have a couple ov fuses ready as if it doesnt work then change the two wires the other way round and try it again making sure u replaced the fuse as it will have blown from the previous attempt thanks
