Mend Video, Televisions

I just poured some water down my TV...now what do I do?

I was watering my plants and some water got on the TV. Some if poured down the vents at the back of the television. It is a 32" flat screen (or is it flat tube? It's the size of a regular TV, only with a flat screen, it is not super thin).

It just happened so there aren't any huge problems yet, but the picture does occasionally change colors.

Any suggestions on what I can do before I end up paying some $200 to fix it?

Thanks.

place a fan to circulate air in and out of tv. let run for at least 12 hours. a heat lamp would also speed up the process.

You should be very careful. TV's can store power and hurt you even when disconnected from the power supply.

Put it in a warm place and let it dry for a few days. If you have already powered it up and are not seeing serious problems then it sounds like it may be fine. If you power it up before all the water inside has dried up it may be damaged by being turned on.
