What is the purpose of the Mountfield RV150 SP470 START BOLT?
Any clues? Do I hold back the cord for the starter in the start bolt following start up? I've no idea why it is on the handle .The mower starts fine and recoils after every start, so why is it there?
It's parts of a 'nanny state' regulation that specifies you need to be able to operate the engine starter from a minimum distance of 24" from any moving part. The starter handle should live there - not on the top of the engine.
