Marbel table?

The table has a marble top and wooden pedestal. It had some sort of round (cork?) disk that had been glued to the pedestal and top to keep the two pieces together. My daughter knocked the table over and the glued piece broke. I sanded the remaining (cork?) from the top and pedestal, but now I don't know where to find the same type of cork disk to replace the one that broke. Can you help?

The cork is a buffer between the base and the marble...for movement. You can do the same thing with blobs of silicone that will act as the buffer and glue the top in place at the same time.
