LG WD-8013F washer says door is not closed when it is?

I have a LG WD-8013F washing machine and I had a power blackout when washer was not in use and now it says the door is not closed when it is, it wont start it just has flashing lights I looked up the flashing lights code in the user manual it says it is the door. Do these washers have a main circuit board somewhere inside or is it behind the face controlls if so how do I get to it to inpsect it? Or do I need to replace the door switch - how can this be faulty after a blackout? Where can I get a full service manual and fix it myself - I have googled but cant find one. A door switch will cost me about $50 AU.
