problem integrity copy and paste?

Whenever you use the copy/cut/paste to manipulate anything, it get put on the clipboard. It's a buffer in RAM used to temporarily hold data. It's capacity is limited to a single "object" and in size of said object.
It may be that the file is to large to fit on the clipboard. Also, there can be problem if you sellect more that a single file.

Personaly, I never use copy and paste to move or copy a file. Especialy if the file is large, I work with several files or a whole folder.

What you should do instead:
If you want to COPY a file to the same drive.

Make sure that you can see the destination. If needed, open another explorer window and resize and place it so that both are visible at the same time. Have the second instance show the intended destination.

Right-click the files(s) that you want to copy.
Drag them to the new location.
In the contextual menu that appears, sellect "Copy here".

The default action if you left-click is to move if the destination is on the same drive.


If you want to move to another drive, you also need to right-click and sellect "Move here" as the default action is now to copy the file(s).
