last answer does not fix the problem but allows you to remove tamper line from system. unless you can trace the fault you would need engineer.

if tamper light staying on and there is no beep sound when you press any digits, the tamper cicuit is open. this could be bellbox or control panel tamper switch or any other devices that have been wired with tamper, or split in tamper wiring.

you need to fix problem before you can reset and use panel. turn of power supply and disconect battery back up. you can loop out tamper circuit in main control panel. open lid and look along connections for tamp. fit a wire loop into each side of tamp inputs, also fit loop between scb his is bellbox tamper switch. reconnect battery and mains supply.

if you do not feel you can do this, you will need to call out engineer.

put lid back on and reset.
