My mum's old kenwood was happily turning some whipping cream for my cake when I heard a click noise and then a horrible burning smell! Is it done for now anybody? Please help! I really would like to get fixed as very sentimental it's my mums...
Sounds like it might be a blown capacitor in the electrics of the motor or speed controller...?
Sorry, I can't help you anymore than that - I'm looking for the solution to a similar problem with my Kenwood A700D smoking at low speed. I've seen the capacitor cause suggested in another forum.
